Philosophy Series- Logic: Why Study Informal Fallacies?

Join Adjunct Professor, Keli A. Gates, in part one of Sturgis Library’s three part lecture/discussion series!

Enjoy an hour of Logic in an engaging and fun discussion on Informal Fallacies! This lecture includes a power point, a few short videos, an interactive learning environment where you will have the opportunity to play “Name that Fallacy”! The discussion is focused on explaining the difference between formal and informal fallacies, weak inductive arguments, Ad Hominem’s, fallacies of unwarranted assumptions and recognizing fallacies in ordinary language.
