Poetry Reading with Stephan Delbos, Elizabeth Bradfield, and Al Starkey (ONLINE)

Author Bios:

Stephan Delbos is a writer living in Prague, the Czech Republic and Plymouth, MA. His poetry, essays and translations have been published internationally. He is the editor of From a Terrace in Prague: A Prague Poetry Anthology (Litteraria Pragensia, 2011). His play Chetty’s Lullaby, about trumpet legend Chet Baker, was produced in San Francisco. His play Deaf Empire, about Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, was produced by Prague Shakespeare Company in 2017. His co-translation of The Absolute Gravedigger, by Czech poet Vítězslav Nezval, was awarded the PEN/Heim Translation Grant in 2015 and was published by Twisted Spoon Press. He is the author of the poetry chapbook In Memory of Fire (Cape Cod Poetry Review, 2016), and the poetry collection Light Reading (BlazeVOX, 2019). He is also a founding editor of B O D Y (www.bodyliterature.com).

 

Writer/naturalist Elizabeth Bradfield is the author of the Once Removed, Approaching Ice, Interpretive Work and Toward Antarctica which combines her photographs with brief, hybrid essays. Theorem, a collaboration with artist Antonia Contro, is forthcoming this fall. Her work has been published in The New Yorker, Kenyon Review, and her honors include the Audre Lorde Prize and a Stegner FellowshipFounder and editor-in-chief of Broadsided Press, she works as a naturalist/guide and teaches creative writing at Brandeis University. www.ebradfield.com

 

Al Starkey is a past winner of two International poetry prizes and a recipient of The Carriage House Poetry Prize of Tiferet Journal in 2016.  His poetry has appeared in several journals and magazines. Locally, his poetry has been exhibited in Cape Cod art galleries and museums, published in The Cape Cod Times and aired several times on NPR radio. His latest book of poems is Whistling Underwater, published in 2018.  Al and his wife, Susan, have lived in Ireland and Colorado before settling in the village of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts in 2015.
