Join us as we talk all things Genre with P. Djeli Clark and Craig Laurance Gidney! We will discuss working across genres, what challenges that presents, writing and reading tips, and much much more. The authors will also read from their work. a live Q and A will follow.

Author Bios:

Phenderson Djéli Clark is the award winning and Hugo, Nebula, Sturgeon, and World Fantasy nominated author of the novellas Ring Shout, The Black God’s Drums and The Haunting of Tram Car 015. His stories have appeared in online venues such as Tor.com, Daily Science Fiction, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, Apex, Lightspeed, Fireside Fiction, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, and in print anthologies including, Griots, Hidden Youth and Clockwork Cairo. Craig Laurance Gidney writes both contemporary and genre fiction. He is the author of the collections Sea, Swallow Me & Other Stories (Lethe Press, 2008), Skin Deep Magic (Rebel Satori Press, 2014), Bereft (Tiny Satchel Press, 2013) and A Spectral Hue (Word Horde, 2019). He is currently working on Hairsbreadth, a fairytale novel being serialized on Broken Eye Books and due to come out later this year. He is a three-time finalist for the Lambda Literary Award, the winner of the Silver Independent Book Award and a Bronze Moonbeam, and is a recent short-list honoree for the Carl Brandon Parallax Award.
