Sturgis Library worked with noted Cape Cod artist Liz Mumford to develop this charming coloring book featuring scenes of historic and current-day Barnstable Village, one of the seven villages in the town of Barnstable, located on the mid-Cape in Massachusetts.

Illustrations include scenes of Main Street, Barnstable Harbor, Lothrop Hill Cemetery, Cobb’s Hill, the old schoolhouse, the County Courthouse, Sandy Neck, the Olde Colonial Courthouse (now Tales of Cape Cod), the Custom’s House (now Coast Guard Heritage Museum), Sturgis Library, Barnstable County fairgrounds, Barnstable Historical Society, Barnstable Yacht Club, the old ice house, Mill Way beach, Barnstable Fire Department, Smitty’s Ice Cream, Art in the Village, St. Mary’s Church garden, Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, Barnstable Comedy Club, 4th of July parade, activities at The Hollow, Cummaquid Post Office, plus scenes of everyday life in the village. Look for ghosts, Santa and his reindeer, sea creatures, and other little details that bring the illustrations to life.

Text accompanies each illustration so that as you color the images you learn about the history of the Village. This coloring book is great for all ages — not just kids!
