Learn the true story of a seafaring family during the final chapter of the Great Age of Sail and the Civil War.
“I spent many wonderful hours at Sturgis Library during the research phase for these books,” says Elder.” Tales of the Sea is brimming with local references including Captain William Sturgis, for whom the library is named, and The Barnstable Patriot.
The two books in the series, The Journey Begins and The Drumbeats of War, will be available for sale and signing. The books are also available for check out from the library.
