Hezekiah Higgins and Mary Knowles are the Executor and Executrix to the will of Amos Knowles, late of Eastham (now Orleans). They sell enough of his real estate to pay the just debts and incidental charges of his estate. The buyer, Timothy Doane, is described as a yeoman. Note description of bounds for the presence of a fence. Justice of Peace Simeon Kingman attested that Higgins and Knowles acted of their own free will on Dec. 25, 1797.
