Jonathan Freeman and Thomas Higgins were acting in their capacity as Selectmen of the Town of Orleans. One or both were yeomen. The property was the westerly half of a dwelling house, formerly owned by Mrs. Elinor Cole, adjoining the dwelling house of Mr. Ephraim Cole. It also included the land around the house, one rod in width from the house as the fence now stands.
