- Notes : John Small was a mariner, and Mercy Small was his wife. Daniel Comings was a yeoman. The property was sold by them as heirs of the estate of Solomon Pepper, late of Orleans. In addition to the 9 acres of woodland, the sale included one half of a pew in the Congregational Meeting House in Orleans, "it being 1/10 part of said 1/2 pew." The pew was also described as one undivided half part, with the heirs of Joshua Gould, deceased. The pew description location names the aisles and other pews bounding it.
