The Hyannis Airport 1928 to 1948 Author Talk with Sharon D. Anderson

Join Author Sharon D. Anderson, Ph.D. for a discussion about her book, The Hyannis Airport 1928-1948. This book is an authentic history of the Hyannis Airport written from the actual original airport log and the original pilots log. It chronicles the birth of the airport, the growth of aviation and
tourism on Cape Cod, and the Cape’s role in the safety of the country before and during
WWII.
The log is sprinkled with anecdotes of rum runners, speakeasies, and the names
many of the celebrities who flew in to Hyannis. It also names the original Hyannis Airport
Corporation stockholders and board of directors, one of which was Amelia Earhart.
